ELEvate was the first H2020 project coordinated by the Comenius University in Bratislava, during the discussions of partners from Comenius University, Innsbruck University and Open University at the final conference in Marrol’s Butique Hotel in Bratislava, the Cooperation agreement between CU and UIBK was signed by the rectors.

The 10th EU-Japan Joint Symposium on Plasma Processing (JSPP2017) held at Bankoku Shinryokan Conference Hall at Okinawa, Japan. Prof. Nigel Mason opening the conference together with the chair of the conference prof. Satoshi Hamaguchi.

Dr. Papp and Dr. Moravský giving a topical lectures on the topics Dissociative electron attachment to c-C4F8 molecules and clusters and Ion Mobility Spectrometry monitoring of phthalate degradation by atmospheric corona discharge, respectively.

The conference was also attended by Dr. Juraj Országh an Dr. Medvecká with poster presentations Continual radiation of H2 and D2 (a3 Σg+→b3 Σu+)induced by electron impact and Atmospheric pressure plasma assisted preparation of ceramic submicron fibers, respectively.

STOT at OU 2017, Milton Keynes, UK

Dr. Juraj Országh visiting the Velocity Slice Imaging Laboratories of prof. Nigel Mason at Open University in Milton Keynes. At the same time Dr. Peter Papp spent a STOT at Dr. Jimena Gorfienkel on the topic of theoretical modelling of electron molecular collisions. Dr. Medvecká visiting the laboratories of prof. Nick Braithwaite focused on technological plasma, plasma for semiconductor processing and others applications and developments in plasma physics.

ESCAMPIG 2016, Bratislava, Slovakia

European Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics of Ionized Gases “ESCAMPIG” was held in Slovakia again, 40 years before directly in Bratislava and 20 years before in Poprad. The conference was organized by the Department of Experimental Physics, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Comenius University in Bratislava and Society for Plasma Research and Applications in cooperation with European Physical Society. The ELEVATE project took part of the scientific programme in a special Workshop.
